Today some of us have emptied our polytunnel of the last of our tomatoes which Jean is to turn into chutney for sale at our events. Some of us have continued to tidy up the Herb Garden for the winter whilst another cut down jasmine from the greenhouse wall. Black and red currant bushes have been pruned, weeded and surrounded with wood chippings. Having removed a cotoneaster past its best agapanthus and penstemon have replaced it. Logs have been sorted for sale and some brave souls have repaired the glasshouse roof so that we are rain-tight again.
It's not all work. We also began choosing our Christmas menu and paying our deposit for our Christmas meal together at Ye Old Cock where we had a good time last year: https://www.greeneking-pubs.co.uk/pubs/greater-manchester/ye-olde-cock/
